Remarks Commonly found in shallow water growing on carbonate rock, partially covered with sand and silt (Ref. 127523). On the rear and foreslope of reefs as well as in lagoons (Refs. 98471, 848). Often found living near beds of a common colonial zoanthid, Palythoa sp. (Ref. 127523).
