Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Iraq, Persian Gulf.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found under stones, among decayed aquatic plants, on muddy flats, and near the burrows of Parasesarma persicum (Ref. 108384). Members of the family Assimineidae are probably detritus feeders, consuming organic material from sediments they inhabit (Ref. 108635).
