Environment:  pelagic-neritic; marine
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: from Kuwait to India.
Diagnosis:  Up to 23 m wide, central part of exumbrella smooth, with rows of prominent rugged papillae radiating towards the margin; in each octant 12 to 16 pointed velar lappets; mouth-arms about 1.5 times the length of bell radius, sub-cylindrical, distal three-winged portion about 6 times as long as the proximal simple portion; intracircular canal system with fairly open irregular meshes/
Biology:  Depth estimate based on its ecology. Lives along coasts (Refs. 108295, 122814, 122815), in estuarine environments and bays (Ref. 122814).
