Max. size:  60 cm WD (male/unsexed)
Environment:  pelagic; marine; depth range 200 - 3000 m
Distribution:  Southern Pacific, Southwest Atlantic, Sub-Antarctic and Antarctic: from Cape Horn Chile, to North Island New Zealand and Antarctica.
Diagnosis:  50 to 60 cm wide; with only 5 to 7 tentacles in a single line in each cluster; few broad canals in the lappets, the lateral ones unilaterally branched.
Biology:  Found in deep waters (Ref. 122852).
