Distribution:  Arctic, Atlantic Ocean, Mediterranean and Black Sea: from Beaufort Sea to USA, then Norway to Mediterranean and south to Mauritania. Polar to subtropical.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Commonly found at depths between 30 - 50 m, in sediments of muddy fine sand (Ref. 96521). A deposit feeder (Ref. 3477).
