Max. size: 
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 0 - 40 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: Japan to Australia and Maldives to Central east coast of Australia.
Diagnosis:  Colonies may form a continuous cover over the substrates several meters across although individual colonies are seldom over one meter across. It has the same skeletal structure as Euphyllia divisa and polyps have large tubular tentacles with anchor, hammer or t shaped tips. Blue-grey to orange in color with pale cream or green outer borders to the tentacles.
Biology:  Found in shallow environments exposed to moderate wave action (Ref. 847). On reef slopes from mid-reef to deeper water and rocky outcrops (Ref. 98471)
