Family:  Ischnochitonidae (chitons [narrow chitons])
Max. size:  1.9 cm DL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 25 m
Distribution:  Western Atlantic and Eastern Pacific.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  It is found in sheltered rock pools, under stones and gravel buried in sand or on silty substrates in the intertidal areas to a depth of 25 meters (Ref. 87801).
