Environment:  reef-associated; marine
Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: Endemic to Hawaii.
Diagnosis:  Colonies: Encrusting to submassive; up to 30 cm across; with irregular branch-like upgrowths up to 10 cm thick; well defined. Pale to dark brown.
Biology:  Subtidal environments (Ref. 846).
