Distribution:  Indo-Pacific.
Diagnosis:  Colonies: submassive or form extensive; thick unifacial plates. Corallites: small ; exsert; with elongate thecal papillae. Colony surface: rough appearance. Brown with brightly colored polyps (Ref. 846).
Biology:  Found in most reef environments (Ref. 846).
