Colonies are composed of thin, unificial laminae usually forming upright whorls. Whorls may be 100 cm high and may cover a large area. Fall over the slightest touch. Coenosteum: rough with small papillae. Corallites: embedded; others are tiny or inclined irregularly on tuberculae. Pale brown or greenish (Ref. 846). |
