Environment:  benthic; marine
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: Australia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occasionally collected for food by local populations for its large size. Intertidal to subtidal (Ref. 106854). Inhabits rocky shores with muddy-sand bottoms, commonly found under rocks and timber, and in crevices in mangroves (Ref. 343).
