Environment:  pelagic; marine
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific, Atlantic Ocean, and the Mediterranean Sea.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in sand. Feeds by extending its proboscis from its burrow. Food particles are trapped in the mucus sheath and transported to the mouth via the cilia on the cells lining the proboscis (Ref. 125338).
