Environment:  pelagic; marine; depth range 0 - 198 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific, Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Marine, planktonic; found in waters with temperatures of 13 to 29°C (Ref. 1134). It has a warm water character, it is eurythermal, euryhaline, and cosmopolitan (Ref. 3528).
