Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found from lower intertidal down to 800 m. Tubiculous, branching colonies, adhering to corals, calcareous algae, shells, stones, coarse sand, gravel, biogenic sediments; in association with Bryozoa, hydroids, tunicates, sponges, serpulids and foraminiferans (Ref. 1456).
