Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Generalist scavenger but has been recorded attacking spatangoids, and echinoids in general. Dwells in sandy and muddy substrates. Found in depths of 40 to 2500m, with isolated records at 5 and 2543m (Ref. 128630).
