Distribution:  Northeast Atlantic and the Mediterranean Sea.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  This is a shallow water species found among Ulva and Posidonia. In northern waters it is found among weeds, and in pools with hard bottoms or under overhanging rocks without mud. The animal is observed to migrate to the surface when darkness sets during the breeding season (Ref. 85342).
