Distribution:  Northern Atlantic, Mediterranean and Black Sea: from USA to Ireland, Baltic Sea, Norway and east to White Sea. Polar to subtropical.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits hard bottoms with stony and sandy substrates (Ref. 125400). A sub-surface/burrowing detritivore (Refs. 95728, 96470).
