Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 4 - 1000 m
Distribution:  Arctic, Pacific Ocean, Northern Atlantic and the Mediterranean Sea: North Sea; Alaska, Canadian Arctic Archipelago, south to central California. Polar to subtropical.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Maximum depth from Ref. 119523. Found on rocks in shallow waters to 20 m depth. Typically associated with the solitary stalked tunicate, Styela gibbsii (Ref. 95344).
