Max. size:  14 cm SHH (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 25 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: from East Africa, including the Red Sea, to eastern Indonesia; north to Japan and south to northern Queensland.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Usually found near coral reefs (Ref. 799).

Threat to humans:  harmless
