Definition of Term

discard
(English) Portion of catch that is thrown over board, but which may be of important ecological or commercial value. Discard typically consists of "non-target" species or undersized specimens. (See also: trash fish, by-catch, fishery)
rejet
(French) Portion des captures qui est jetée à la mer, mais qui peut être d'importance écologique ou de valeur commerciale. Les rejets sont typiquement des espèces "non-ciblées" ou des spécimens sous-calibrés. (See also: trash fish, by-catch, fishery)
descartar
