(English) In elasmobranchs, this is a prelude to 'insertion and copulation' (Ref. 51126) in which the male successfully aligns the female's body for copulation. The resultant body positions are similar to 'nudging' (Ref. 51111). (See also: insertion and copulation, nudge)
