| Comments | Shocked by the dramatic changes in the underwater world during my 25 years as an underwater photographer, I decided to close my clinic, stop teaching and devote the rest of my life to conservation. We just founded a new organization: Sea First Foundation: we will educate school children in Holland and Belgium about all the threats to the oceans and the possible solutions. What can we do: individually and politically. Also information of the consumer. We already have created a lot of media attention, especially since I released my book "What´s the catch with fish?! And fish oil". We also annually organize a big symposium on 8 June, World Ocean Day. This year (2009) Daniel Pauly, David Doubilet, Fabien Cousteau were among the many speakers. My photography has been published in innumerable magazines and I have published 10 books with underwater photography. Regularly my work is exposed in big (outdoor) expositions. | |
