Remarks 'shrimp' from Old Norse 'skorpna', i.e., 'to shrivel up'; 'Holthuis' from Lipke Bijdeley Holthuis (1921-2008), Dutch carcinologist appointed as assistant curator of the Rijksmuseum van Natuurlijke Historie in Leiden in 1941, and who gave his name to 58 species of crustaceans (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lipke_Holthuis for more details).
