Remarks | 'nudibranch', any marine gastropod of the order Nudibranchia, characterized by a shell-less, often beautifully colored body bearing external gills and other appendages. From Latin 'nudi- + branche'; 'nudi' from 'nudus', naked or bare, and 'branche' from Latin 'branchi, gills. Species has club-like marginal projections that have orange tips hence the name orange-clubbed. |
