Descrição breve Morfologia

Shell rounded, spire low and domed shaped. Shell surface covered with fine nodular spiral threads. Whorls convex and pillar produced at the base, grooved at the throat and has wide umbilicus. Colouration: greenish with tinged of brown (Ref. 128042).

Found in intertidal on rubble (Ref. 75835), and rocky shores (Ref. 128042). Common also on gravel (Ref. 349).

Members of the order Patellogastropoda are mostly gonochoric and broadcast spawners. Life cycle: Embryos develop into planktonic trocophore larvae and later into juvenile veligers before becoming fully grown adults.
