It has lengths of 20 cm, maximum total body length; 8 cm, maximum carapace length; 10 to 14 cm, usual body length (Ref. 4). Occurs in the sublittoral zone (Ref. 77016).; in shallow waters from 9 to 27 m on coral reefs and marine caves. It is probably nocturnal. Its larvae is planktonic (Ref. 4). Palinurids are mainly considered carnivores (Ref. 105260).
