A solitary ascidian (Refs. 1757, 1758) that is commonly found in mangrove areas and less commonly found in piers or pilings in harbor areas (Ref. 86424). Also found on coral reefs (Ref. 415); in a marine lake (Ref. 1661). Filter-feeder (Ref. 68823).
