Comentarios Known from north to Norton Sound (Refs. 78813, 114916), and Kotzebue Sound (Ref. 114916). In the north of Juneau, Alaska, red king crabs are loosely scattered along the narrow continental shelf, which serves as a geographic barrier between Southeast Alaska and the Southwest Alaskan fjords of Prince William Sound, Cook Inlet and the archipelago of Kodiak Island, where red king crabs was once extremely abundant in the bays and fjords of Chiniak Bay, Ugak Bay, and Alitak Bay. They also occur along the shelf and among the bays and islands on the south side of the Alaska Peninsula, and at lower densities in the bays of the easternmost Aleutian Islands, including Unalaska Island (Ref. 121573). C: Refs. 865, 114916, 121573; M: Ref. 78813.
