Remarks Inhabits rivers and streams, and floodplains and lagoons, e.g., billabongs. Feeds exclusively on fishes, including carrion, e.g., eeltail catfish, Neosilurus hyrtlii, Arius leptaspis, Glossamia aprion, Lates calcarifer, Oxyeleotris lineolata, Melanotaenia maculata, Nematolosa sp., Megalops cyprinoides, Amniataba percoides, Strongylura krefftii (Ref. 2412).
