Remarks | Found on exposed rocky shores, in Mytilisepta virgata beds (Ref. 126136). Formation of large aggregations of individuals and retraction of tentacles during low tide to reduce desiccation presumably allows the species to colonize hot, tropical intertidal zones. High quantity of cyprids consumed during daytime high tide, while a high quantity of juvenile bivalves are consumed during nighttime high tide (Ref. 127938). |
