Main Ref. Collin, R., M.C. Díaz, J. Norenburg, R.M. Rocha, J.A. Sánchez, M. Schulze, A. Schwartz and A. Valdés, 2005
Remarks Common on shallow, wave exposed reef habitats at low 1 to 6 m deep or mid-depths 15 to 20 m especially on Acropora palmata dead colonies (Refs. 415, 124745). Also found dwelling on live corals either by direct contact (i.e., Montastraea faveolata, Diploria strigosa) or from substratum of branching or foliose species (i.e., Diploria strigosa) that settled on dead A. Palmata branches (Ref. 124745).
