Remarks Found near the seabed (Ref. 1821). On sandy, muddy and sandy mud bottoms; continental shelf to continental slope in depth (Ref. 98678). Scaphopods are selective microcarnivores, feeding on microscopic organisms particularly forams. It also feeds on juvenile bivalves and kinorhynchs. Some species may be selective detritivores (Ref. 833).
