Ecology of Libinia dubia

Main Ref. Felder, D.L., F. Alvarez, J.W. Goy and R. Lemaitre, 2009
Remarks Found on eelgrass meadows. Generalist feeder. Consumes clinging jellyfish Gonionemus medusae, an unusual crab-jellyfish trophic relationship. In the study, spider crab mortality increased with Gonionemus sp. consumption; all of the crabs tested died within 24 hours of consuming jellyfish (Ref. 116461).
