Remarks Reported from the epipelagic zone to deepwater demersal habitats through ontogenetic migration. Females spawn at depths greater than 700m in New Zealand and Falkland Island waters. Reportedly exhibits cannibalism in Falkland Island waters (Ref. 128994).
