Remarks Inhabits the open ocean. Feeds by scavenging and surface-seizing. Exhibits pattering and dipping behavior (Ref. 356). Breeds on oceanic islands (Ref. 91362). Nesting areas are characterized with supporting bunch grass (Lepturus sp.), large clumps of weeds (Boerhaavia sp.) or Sesuvium, and loose rocks (Ref. 96995).
