Remarks Depth estimate based on Family (Ref. 108635). Stenohaline species ranging from 5 (in Puck Bay, Baltic Sea) to 12 PSU. Adapts to a wide range of temperatures, from freezing in the winter to 30°C in the summers. Occurs in non-tidal basins of a maximum tidal range of 0.1m. Attaches to sea floors overgrown by vascular plants or macroalgae through byssus (Ref. 128498).
