Remarks Most abundant in sheltered marine embayments and estuaries (Ref. 122767). Estuarine, inshore, intertidal to subtidal (Ref. 106854). Occurs in coastal waters (Ref. 122766). Lives in a variety of inshore and continental shelf waters. Prefers flatter sandy to muddy bottoms with algal and seagrass communities (Ref. 111207).
