Remarks Found along mid- to upper shorelines, generally in areas with freshwater outflows, under boulders and stones. Forages over gravel beds after high tide; feeding on recently dead materials. Predator-scavengers; feeds on oligochaetes and small marine isopods (Ref. 96605).
