Distribution:  Eastern Indian Ocean, Eastern Pacific, Arctic, Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean: from India to Alaska, Arctic to Canada, east to Norway and White Sea. Polar to subtropical.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Known on infralittoral of the Gulf and estuary (Ref. 87872), with silty sands (Ref. 96329).
