Distribution:  Northeast Atlantic and the Mediterranean.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  It is found on semi- and exposed shores in crevices, and burrowing in sediment, or under stones, and also found coralline algae, sponges, kelp holdfasts (Ref. 96468), and inhabits Posidonia oceanica meadows (Ref. 2780).
