Environment:  sessile; marine; depth range 0 - 24 m
Distribution:  Western Atlantic.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  It may also be in groups. Calm waters (Ref. 415). Grows on the underside of stones, and on Rhizophora roots in mangrove ponds (Ref. 1758, 86424). Commensal with amphipods (Ref. 82302).
