Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 6 - 43 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific, Atlantic and the Caribbean Sea: Malaya (Ref. 1840).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Burrows in coral rubble and mangrove root mats (Ref. 415). At low density in warm shallow waters (Ref. 1840). Borings are usually found in eroded coral rock, with secondary in fill. Most frequently found in deeper waters of outer reef slopes (Ref. 87224).
