Distribution:  Eastern Indian Ocean to Southwest Pacific. Subtropical to temperate.
Diagnosis:  Formation: massive, or submassive and flattened. Valleys: irregular shaped and length. Polyp: fleshy, with groove along the top of valley walls. Color: varies from mottled, green, gray, purple, or brown; valley walls and floors in contrasting colors (Ref. 848).
