Thallus bright green, spherical to oval and mostly less than 10 mm in diameter, attached to substrate by a disc-like holdfast. Stipe slender and cylindrical, broader at its distal end and
continuous with the central axis which extends 1/2 to 2/3 of the length of thallus.Whorls of delicate primary lateral filaments arise from the central axis, bearing many laterally attached aplanosporangia. Primary lateral filaments terminate in a whorl of filiform branches with laterally coherent inflated hexagonal ends, forming a monostromatic cortex. Thalli 5 to 6 mm in diameter (Ref. 80758). |
