Distribution:  Western Atlantic and Pacific Ocean.
Diagnosis:  Bell measures 40 mm high; small deep-brick red manubrium with 4 recurved lips and 4 tightly folded gonads, with orangish pigment near the tips of the large tapering tentacles; 12 or more large tentacles and a few small ones; 4 radial canals and 12 or more centripetal canals; bell transparent
Biology:  Near the surface (Ref. 2376). Deep sea (Ref. 116114).
