Family:  Goneplacidae (rhomboid crabs)
Max. size:  8 cm CW (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Japan to Thailand. Temperate to tropical climates.
Diagnosis:  Carapace ovoid; dorsal surface convex and smooth; lateral margin with 3 strong teeth in juveniles, becoming small to almost indiscernible in adults. Male chelipeds very elongate. Color: red to pink overall.
