Max. size:  30.1 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 0 - 27 m
Distribution:  Western Atlantic.
Diagnosis:  Shell very large, heavy. Spire short. Shell surface with fine reticulated sculpture and knobby projections on body whorl. Parietal shield large and well defined, triangular. Outer lip with inner tooth-like projections. Colour: brownish cream with large patch of brown at centre of parietal shield. Outer lip entirely cream or cream white with brown between teeth.
