Environment:  sessile; brackish; marine; depth range 0 - 27 m
Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic.
Diagnosis:  Clusters or single vase-like tubes: 5 - 15 cm high. Bright red to orange externally, and internally. Very spiky surface. Compressible but resilient to the touch (Ref. 415).
