Family:  Lucinidae (lucinas)
Max. size:  5.5 cm SHL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 15 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: from Madagascar to Melanesia; north to the Philippines and south to Queensland and New Caledonia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Distribution insuffiently known because of frequent confusion with other species. Buried in sandy bottoms, often in coral reef areas (Ref. 348).
