Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean, Northeast Atlantic and the Mediterranean: Europe, West Africa and tropical American coast. Temperate and subtropical climates.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Depth based on occurrence (Ref. 2851, p. 719); to be replaced with better reference. Commonly found at depths >30m, in fine sand sediment (Ref. 96521).
